I've got the crud

Yup, that's right people, I have the crud. I *think* it's just a head cold, I am not coughing a lot, but I am stuffed up, have a really sore throat and I am going through tissues really fast. But that didn't stop me from taking a beautiful ride yesterday in Boulder.

This was the view from our car before heading out.

Bike and gear all ready to go:
I don't have any other pictures since it's hard to ride and take pictures.

I hope to head out for a 14 mile run today. I've always heard that you can run with a cold as long as it isn't in your chest. I think it will be slow and probably won't feel great but I want to attempt it anyway.
Do you think it's ok to run with a head cold?

  1. Sounds like what I'm dealing with too. It is probably fine to run with it, I'm feeling a little to weak to do anything, but if you feel up to it rock on :)

  2. Ugh...I think you have what I have! I'm sorry you're sick. You are right about it being o-kay to run with a cold, but just be careful b/c that head cold can turn to a chest cold really quickly!!

  3. Ugh, sorry you have El Crud. I have run while sick...unless I am hacking or barfing, it usually doesn't keep me from running and I find it makes my recovery time faster.

  4. Sounds like something's going around! Hope you feel better. And yes, I run with a head cold, but keep it super slow and short!
